Title: Asp.Net

Description:

Experience: Must have at least 5+ years experience with the following skills.
The selected worker will assist the Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS), a division of the Texas Water Development Board, in developing GIS and Web-based mapping applications with ASP.net. The developer will work with Microsoft Virtual Earth, Google Maps and open source tools, using agile software development methods, to develop a state-of-the-art online mapping viewer that supports spatial queries and the display of state geographical data. The developer will work under the guidance of the TNRIS senior developer. Tasks include: developing and scheduling projects; coordinating with other development team members - both technical and non-technical, analyzing proposed web-based applications; developing user documentation and online help systems for applications; providing technical assistance to staff and customers as required; training others in the use of internal applications; and maintaining and documenting existing code. Programmer will need to file weekly reports on work progress for the week. TWDB may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law.
The duties of the Worker will include, but are not limited to performing the tasks listed below:

A. Work as a part of a team to develop conceptual, logical and physical designs
    for all web related applications.
B. Identify new user interface and functional concepts for potential use in our
    web-based applications
C. Produce detailed technical documentation and give solution briefings to
    management and development team.
D. Follow established software development processes through the use of
    source code revision control, test driven development, continuous integration,
    and rapid release cycles.

The Client's Information Technology Services Department will be deploying an enterprise plant maintenance solution. In 2004 the Client deployed SAP as their Enterprise Resource Planning solution. The core modules, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Purchasing and Budget models were deployed and the next module to be deployed is SAP's plant maintenance. Plant Maintenance (PM) will provide functionality for managing work requests (work orders), equipment, and facilities (buildings and grounds). Business Analysts have primary accountability for providing client support and consultation on the development of business requirements in the design and delivery of IT solutions; elicit needs for basic to complex business and technical issues, translate and document needs into understandable requirements, and manage scope and solution design to those requirements; work collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture to deliver best possible requirements solutions by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of business strategies, products, functions and processes, along with current and emerging IT products, services and methodologies; understand the goals and risks associated with the business and technical requirements and offer counsel on risk mitigation and the alignment of requirements with objectives; demonstrate a team orientation by working closely and effectively with customers, development teams and outside services; demonstrate solid skills in the use of business analysis tools and methodologies.
